Hayneedle a Walmart Brand
Updating Hayneedle.com has been an ever-evolving process. We wanted to do a massive look and feel update to bring the site up to a more modern minimal full-width design. I had about 7 months to design and help develop the site with the engineering team with all style updates. After the 7-month full redesign, we continued to review data and update the site to increase performance and shopability.
A tight time frame was the obstacle to this project. We didn't have a year to do a full development of the site with the wireframe concept to full design. I also had to work within the restraints of the CRM system and existing database. Due to this, I went into the process of skipping steps and redesigning select pages and modules to get those designs to the engineering team to start. My Major due was to build full site designs with visuals so stakeholders could approve. With the tech I had available at the time I had to create by hand detailed CCS styles and design directions. As the project evolved I moved to Adobe XD to streamline the process of sharing styles. I also worked closely with the engineers to build proof and finalize all updates.
